Forbes magazine recognized Merchant &amp; Gould on its list of “America’s Top Trusted Corporate Law Firms 2019.”&nbsp;

The rankings are based on the results of an independent survey that collected more than 8,000 nominations from over 2,500 in-house and private-practice attorneys.  Merchant &amp; Gould is one of 243 law firms – out of thousands of firms across the United States that serve corporate clients – to earn this Forbes distinction as one of America’s top law firms.  The honorees include well-known names in the corporate and legal worlds, but also boutique firms, such as Merchant &amp; Gould, that focus on very specific areas of the law, especially intellectual property.

More than 1.3 million attorneys practice at more than 40,000 law firms in the U.S., according to the American Bar Association, and those firms are becoming increasingly specialized.

For the top lists of “America’s&nbsp;Top Trusted Corporate Law Firms 2019,” Statista, the independent research institute and statistics platform, conducted a broad survey among lawyers and in-house lawyers in the United States. The survey took place between April 1, 2019, and May 17, 2019. Based on the results, Statista identified the most recommended Corporate Law Firms in America.

For the 2019 survey nearly&nbsp;100,000 lawyers and in-house lawyers&nbsp;were invited to participate in the survey. In total, the answers from&nbsp;2,500 lawyers and in-house lawyers&nbsp;and&nbsp;8,000 nominations&nbsp;were considered in the analysis. The final list consists of the&nbsp;243 most recommended law firms.
