James plays a key role in ensuring the application’s completion and success. He interviews the inventor to gather information for the patent application. From there, he carefully files the application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Afterward, the patent application undergoes an examination process.&nbsp;

“I am a careful person. I care for the details. When preparing a patent application or interacting with examiners, you have to be careful about many things. Every little detail matters, and you need to be mindful every step of the way.”

As a registered patent agent, James continually refines his skills in both the technical and legal aspects of patent cases. For this reason, he is a valuable asset to up-and-coming inventors applying for patents in a variety of industries.&nbsp;

James moved to North America from China in 2011. After spending time in Canada, he settled in Virginia. He loves sports, especially basketball and volleyball.
