Before she was an attorney, Evi Li studied computer science for five years. She was exposed to a myriad of technologies, including computer hardware and software, lighting, telecommunications, networking, media and solar panels. Her education was the catalyst for counseling clients on all aspects of IP technology and patent law.&nbsp;

Evi also focuses on intellectual U.S. District Court patent litigation, ITC Section 337 proceedings, Federal Circuit and inter parts reviews before USPTO. She represents all kinds of clients, from small businesses to huge enterprises, both foreign and domestic.

Expanding the Asian Market Through Litigation

Evi plays a key role at Merchant Gould by expanding the Asian clientele and market. Born in Taiwan, Evi is passionate about Asian culture and the many contributions Asians bring to the technological world.&nbsp;

Litigating Asian-centered cases does more than level the playing field for a valued segment of clients. It also fosters positive relationships between nations while promoting innovation from a wider range of markets. The next big idea may come from an Asian culture that is otherwise unrepresented.

In her spare time, Evi Li enjoys swimming, playing badminton, going on walks with family and traveling.
